De bewapende man...

 

Luid uit
de duizend oorlogen uit het verleden;
Luid in
duizend jaren vrede;
Luid het oude uit,
luid het nieuwe in;
Luid, vrolijke klokken
over de sneeuw;
Het jaar is voorbij, laat het gaan;
Luid de leugen uit,
luid de waarheid binnen;
Luid de oude condities
en het bederf uit;
Luid de benauwende
hebzucht naar goud uit;
Luid uit
de duizend afgelopen jaren;
Luid in
duizend jaren van vrede;
Luid in
de moedigen en de vrijen,
het grotere hart,
de vriendelijkere hand;
Luid uit
de duisternis van het land;
Luid in
de aanwezigheid van Christus.

 

God zal alle tranen wegwissen
en de dood zal niet meer zijn,
leed noch gehuil
noch pijn zal meer zijn;
loof de Heer.
